In spring you can enjoy the awakening lakeside nature on the ice of Lake Saimaa, or engage in ice fishing, luring your catch from the magnificent fishing available. Summer is the time to indulge in sun bathing or playing beach volleyball at our own natural beach - a safe place even for the youngest in the family.

Berry-picking or mushrooming in natural tranquillity is an unforgettable autumn experience. Winter is the season for cross-country skiing and snowmobile trips - the tracks and trails start from the log house yard.

We also provide you with the snowmobile trail maps. In addition, we run a fishing guide service and organise guided fishing trips.

Regional activities

Puumala is a genuine municipality of the interior archipelago with modern service provision. In summer, it becomes a busy meeting point for boaters, yachters, cottagers, and other travellers.

Travel-related activities in the Saimaa area offer something for everyone - in all seasons of the year. If you wish to visit a near-by town, Imatra, Lappeenranta, Mikkeli and Savonlinna are all within easy reach. Among other events, you can visit the Savonlinna Opera Festival, or take trip to the Visulahti Travel Centre in the Mikkeli region, at an hour's drive from our holiday village.
